Flooring in New Castle, Indiana
New floors for whole rooms and basements. The old floor comes up, the subfloor is checked and leveled, the new floor goes down, and the baseboards and transitions go back on.
Shawn looks at every job himself before you get a price.
Floors we lay
Whole rooms and whole spaces.
Laminate
Planks that click together over a foam underlayment. Hard-wearing, and a good choice for living rooms, bedrooms and halls.
Luxury vinyl plank
Waterproof planks that look like wood. The usual choice for kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms and basements.
Engineered wood
A real wood top layer on a stable core, so it can go where solid wood would move with the seasons.
A basement being finished
Concrete gets a moisture check first, then a vapor barrier and a floor made for below grade.
How a flooring job goes
You call, text or send the form.
Tell us which rooms and what floor you have in mind. You get a reply within 5 minutes.
Shawn comes out and measures.
He checks the subfloor and the doorways, and gives you a written price.
The old floor comes up.
Carpet, pad and old flooring are taken out and hauled away. Baseboards come off where the new floor needs them to.
Subfloor checked and leveled.
Squeaks are screwed down and low spots filled, so the new floor lies flat and does not flex.
New floor down, trim back on.
Transitions at every doorway, baseboards back on, and you walk the rooms with us before we pack up.

What the day is like
Someone needs to let us in on the first day. The rooms we are working in are out of use until the floor is down, and we move the furniture out of them.
Tearing out an old floor is the noisy, dusty part. Most of the cutting is done outside or in the garage, and the rooms are vacuumed before we leave each day.
The warranty
All work is backed up by our workmanship warranty.
Who does the work
Shawn Tabor prices every job, and the work is done by a subcontractor Shawn works with.
Questions about flooring
What does a new floor cost?
It depends on the floor you pick, the size of the rooms and what the subfloor needs. Shawn measures it and gives you a written price before any work starts.
Do you take up the old floor?
Yes. Taking up the old floor and hauling it away is on the same estimate.
Do I buy the flooring, or do you?
Either. Pick it yourself and we lay it, or tell us what you want and it goes on the estimate.
