Question 1 of 3

Which rooms, and what you want built or trimmed.

Carpentry we do

For whole rooms, a finished basement or a remodel.

  • Baseboards and trim

New baseboards, door casings and window trim through a room or a whole floor, with the corners coped so they stay tight.

  • Crown molding

Crown along the ceiling of a living room, dining room or bedroom.

  • Wainscoting

Raised panel, recessed panel or board and batten on the lower part of the wall, for a dining room, a hall or a stairway.

  • Built-in shelves

Bookcases and shelving built into a wall or an alcove, finished to match the trim.

How a carpentry job goes

  1. You call, text or send the form.

Tell us which rooms and what you want built or trimmed. You get a reply within 5 minutes.

  2. Shawn comes out and measures.

He looks at the walls and the existing trim, and gives you a written price.

  3. Materials and style.

You pick the profile of the trim, or bring a photo of what you like. The estimate says what wood or board is used.

  4. Cut, fit and fasten.

Everything is measured and cut on site so it fits your walls, which are never quite square.

  5. Filled, caulked and ready for paint.

Nail holes filled and gaps caulked. We can paint it too, on the same estimate.

What the day is like

Someone needs to let us in on the first day. The saw is set up outside or in the garage where we can, so the sawdust stays out of the house.

The rooms we are working in are out of use while the trim goes up. We clean up at the end of each day.

The warranty

All work is backed up by our workmanship warranty.

Who does the work

Shawn Tabor prices every job, and the work is done by a subcontractor Shawn works with.
